Abbotsford, BC – After a team vote by the players and hockey operations staff today the Abbotsford Heat is proud to announce their captains for the upcoming 2011/12 season.
‘C’: Quintin Laing – Wore the ‘C’ for the Heat last season and is a natural leader in the locker room. With a Calder Cup Championship under his belt from his time in the Washington Capitals organization (‘09/’10) Laing fits the winning attitude that Coach Ward is fostering within the organization.

‘A’: Joe Piskula – As an AHL veteran with 267 games played in his career Piskula is a natural fit for the leadership group of the Heat. Piskula has the championship mentality with his experience of winning the NCAA Championship with Univ. of Wisconsin (’05/’06).
