Abbotsford, BC – The Abbotsford Heat announced today the signing of goaltender Danny Taylor to a one year American Hockey League (“AHL”) contract.

Taylor, born in Plymouth, England, joined the Heat after signing as a free agent on December 2, 2011; during his time with the Heat last season Taylor’s record was 17-10-3 with a save percentage of .927. By the end of the regular season Taylor was tied for second in the league with five shutouts; eighth in the league with a goals against average of 2.29 and ninth with a save percentage of .924.
2012-13 will be Danny’s sixth season in the AHL after being drafted in 2004 by the Los Angeles Kings. During his time in the AHL, Danny has earned a combined record of 46-28-7, a save percentage of .919% and a 2.64 goals against average.
