Irving_NHL
The Abbotsford Heat announced today the addition of Leland Irving to its roster of players attending its American Hockey League training camp. Irving played 39 games with the Heat during the 2011-12 season and 7 games in the National Hockey League with the Calgary Flames.

Irving has played in each of the Heat’s three seasons since the franchise joined the AHL in 2009, making 135 appearances and helping the club reach the Calder Cup Playoffs in 2010 and 2012. Irving was named the Team MVP in the 2010-11 season where he posted eight shutouts, a 2.30 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.

Irving joins 44 other training camp participants who will undergo physical and fitness testing on Thursday and Friday. A selection of players including Leland will be in attendance at Thursday’s Heat Foundation Golf Tournament benefitting local charitable causes.
