BY THE NUMBERS: JAMES MARTIN

In this issue of 'By The Numbers', we take a look at the season James Martin had with the Abbotsford Heat.

View from Pinder's Perch:

A bruising presence on the blue-line, Martin was inked to a professional contract after playing well in Penticton at the Young Stars Tournament, and showing well at Flames Training Camp.

James Martin Passing Defender
The bad news for the Winnipeg product came in the Fall when a nagging thumb injury kept him out of the line-up when the defence was at it's thinnest juncture of the season. Martin never got back into a grove with regular ice-time after the injury, but remains an interesting piece moving forward due to his youth, gritty play and heavy shot.
