BY THE NUMBERS: CLAY WILSON

In this issue of 'By The Numbers', we take a look at the season Clay Wilson had with the Abbotsford Heat.

View from Pinder's Perch:

Arriving in the organization as a free agent signing last summer, Wilson quickly established himself as a workhorse on the blue-line. With all the call-ups and injuries the team had to deal with, Wilson seemed to be the lone constant on defence over the season.

Clay Wilson Celebration
Twice he was called up for short stints with the Flames, but perhaps more memorable were his two overtime winner he scored against his former teams in Grand Rapids in December and in Rochester in February with two of the most humble line-ups the Heat iced this season. The bigger the game the more Wilson wanted the puck. His efforts were recognized on the final day of the season when he was named the MVP of the 2011-12 season.
