Abbotsford, BC – The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have signed defenseman Mike Matczak from the Kalamazoo Wings of the East Coast Hockey League.

Matczak, a native of New Sewell, NJ has played seven games with Manchester in the American Hockey League and 22 games with Kalamazoo recording one goal and five assists for six points. The 5’11’, 185lb blueliner is in his third year of professional hockey following a four year career at Yale University.
