SHANTZ ASSIGNED TO THE HEAT

Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter has today assigned goaltender David Shantz to the Abbotsford HEAT of the American Hockey League.

Last season, as a member of the AHL's Rochester Americans, Shantz posted a record of 3-6-2 in 12 appearances, with a 2.61 goals against average and a .923 save percentage.
