Abbotsford Heat Announce Dave Sheldon as Director of Communications and Broadcast

ABBOTSFORD BC – The Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League (AHL), is pleased to announce that Dave Sheldon will be the franchise's Director of Communications and Broadcast. Mr. Sheldon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role with the Heat, having spent the past six seasons broadcasting games and liaising with the media in the Western Hockey League.

"Dave's enthusiasm and passion for the game of hockey are contagious," notes Heat President Tom Mauthe. "His excitement about becoming a part of what we are building here in Abbotsford as well as his extensive experience with handling all aspects of a broadcast and media needs make him a welcome addition to our franchise."

"I am humbled by the opportunity presented to me by the Abbotsford Heat," comments Sheldon. "I look forward to the responsibility of conveying the excitement that is the American Hockey League to the knowledgeable hockey fans of the Fraser Valley. This is a great time to be a fan of hockey and I look forward to sharing this adventure with our community."

Mr. Sheldon's duties with the Heat will commence immediately, with his first official day on the job being July 27th.
